Back to School

Today was our first day back to school. I may or may not have had two outfit changes throughout the school day, no shame in my closet game! Anywho, dressing for school is always a challenge for me, especially during the hot months. I try to dress as comfortable as possible for school, which sometimes means Nike shorts and tee shirts. But I’m trying to get out of that rut, considering I will be working somewhere professional soon where you actually have to fix your hair and norts aren’t allowed. What a bummer! So I did my best to throw together something comfortable and stylish for the first day of school. Here is the result!

P.s. Please ignore my squinty eyes, that sunlight was killing me.

I got this top from Dillard’s for $10 in June and can’t find it online. They still had a few in store last time I went. But this linked one is extremely similar in color and fit, and has sequins. It’s perfect. http://www.windsorstore.com/Charcoal-Black-Sequin-Pocket-Raglan/p/158563

  1. super casual/cute! I think people try to not look like freshman by showing up looking like shit. & that’s not always a good way to start out the (much needed) relationship with a prof. Gotta look like ya tried, not tried too hard lol. I love the peachy color!

    1. I agree! It’s been hard for me to find the balance between looking like a freshman and looking like I just rolled out of bed. Lol. I’ve found that maxis are the easiest way to look put together and to feel comfortable at the same time.
