I’m one of those girls who go crazy for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale every year. I literally purchase my whole fall wardrobe in just a few days. This Topshop sweater instantly caught my eye. But, apparently it caught everyone’s eye because it sold out super fast. Since then I’ve watched it come in and out of stock. Mostly, out of stock. I’ve finally found one that’s super similar and have linked it below!

Happy Monday! I wanted to fill you all in on something going on in my professional life! Recently I accepted an offer to participate in what my department is calling a “Teacher Plan”. Our hospital’s census typically dips pretty low in the summer, so you have all of these full-time employees with not much work to do (this is tricky because sometimes you can have a small amount of patients, but they have complex and numerous needs). But the thought behind it is, to help with productivity issues, one employee will be off 8 weeks during the summer, returning September 11th. I eagerly volunteered! I keep my title, position, benefits, etc., but I get some much needed time away from work. Being a social worker is so emotionally rewarding but also extremely exhausting. I thought this teacher plan would be the perfect way to practice some self-care. I’m so excited to have some time off. Once upon a time I considered becoming a teacher (not because I have a passion for teaching) but just so I could get the summer off. Lol. I plan to relax, take a couple of trips, and become more diligent in posting on my blog and Instagram. I can’t wait to see what this little break from work has in store! I’ll keep you guys posted!
Also, I’m sharing this dress below! I bought mine at Cayman’s in Norman, OK. But it’s also available online.

Hello! We just got back from an amazing trip to Cancun. I have had several questions about outfits and swim suits so I wanted to link them up for you guys to shop directly. I’m also working on another posts about our trip overall, specifically the resort. So, be on the lookout for that if you’re interested in the details! Definitely the most asked about item was this suit! It’s from ASOS and it’s only $32! It’s so flattering. I always have ladies asking where I get these types of swimsuits. I always always buy them from ASOS. They’re affordable and have the biggest selection of this style.
Swimsuit: ASOS (the pink is currently sold out but its comes in lots of other colors if you scroll to the bottom or just type in “gathered waistband swimsuit”. I really want the green! Hat: I got mine at Stella Rae’s in Norman but I found the exact same hat online here
Next was this dress! It’s also from ASOS. It’s my favorite thing I wore on vacation. It felt so tropical. It’s only $36!
Dress: ASOS Shoes: Dolce Vita Clutch: White Elephant Design
This next dress is also from, you guessed it, ASOS. Is anyone noticing a pattern here?
Next is the marigold top. This night was super windy so the pictures really don’t do it justice!
Top: ASOS Shorts: American Eagle
My last dress of the trip was actually not from ASOS, shocker there. I got it from Dillard’s for my birthday. I love that it’s long sleeve, there’s also a cute opening in the back.

I hope this round up was helpful for you all! Let me know if you have any questions.
This weekend we stayed at home for some much needed r&r. Last weekend we visited friends and family. We celebrated my best friend’s mom’s birthday and watched another best friend run the OKC Memorial Marathon. It was a full weekend of celebration. So, naturally this weekend we decided to keep it more low key. We went on a day date, did some shopping, ran errands and tried a new restaurant. But most importantly, we slept in and caught up on Netflix! Next weekend we are headed to Dallas. We fly out of DFW Sunday for a Mexico vacation. SO excited about this. We’ve been short staffed at work and I’ve been carrying the discharge planning load of an RN and social worker. Some time off is just what I need. I wanted to share this dress with you all. I wore it out this weekend and it’s such a dream. It’s flowy and comfortable. It’s less than $50. It comes in petite, tall, plus size and regular size. It’s the perfect summer dress.

I wanted to share this little blue and white stripe dress with you all. Once upon a time in the little town of Tish I was getting a massage at Spa 211, afterwords I was feeling rejuvenated and ready for some shopping. I headed next door to The Leopard Vine and this little beauty instantly caught my eye. If you’re ever in southern OK you should check it out. If not, they have an online shop and you can shop this dress directly. It’s under $39!

Guys, Billy and I just got back from the most beautiful and relaxing beach getaway. We have been working nonstop and it was nice to give ourselves a break. The trip also gave me an excuse to bust out some cute summer pieces I had purchased during winter. Which brings me to these sandals! They are so fun and colorful. Also, they’re affordable (under $40) and comfortable. I’ve linked them, along with this dress and clutch down below!
