Happy taco Tuesday, friends! The work week is dragging by so I wanted to post something that brings a smile to my face. Nothing says happiness like going pom lol crazy. My love for pom poms is still raging on. I keep thinking it will die down eventually, but no such luck, yet. So, for now I’m just going to keep on keepin’ on! Outfit details linked below. Happy Father’s Day, friends! Hope you guys enjoyed the day. I have been on call so we stuck around Norman this weekend. I got this top in the mail yesterday and had to wear it for dinner! I’ve been loving the palm tree trend. Buddy Love had a pink dress with palm trees that I had my eye on, it sold out so quickly and hasn’t been restocked. I found this different (but similar) print top from a boutique in Texas, The Gypsy Rose. You can shop the top directly, here.
Aside from cute clothes, we tried a new brunch spot in town. It’s not new, but new to us! Scratch Kitchen and Cocktails. It was really good. I had the fried chicken biscuit (pictured below). Billy had the waffle, complete with berries, whipped cream and cinnamon sugar. It tasted like a cinnamon roll. Seriously delicious. We sat on the patio and there was a live band. It was truly the perfect weekend brunch spot. I encourage you to try it out!
Friends, I can’t believe it’s almost June. May is one of my favorite months but it came and went far too quickly! Since vacation we’ve just been settling back into our daily routines. I’m already itching to get out of town again. I would love to go to Crested Butte, Colorado or to visit my bestie in Wyoming. Until then, I’ll be over here holding down the fort in Oklahoma. I recently snagged this cute tee from Dillard’s! It’s so comfortable and I feel like it’s the perfect striped tee for summer. It’s linked down below!
Hey friends. I turned 26 last week while in Mexico. Turning 26 was really emotional for me. This was my first birthday since my mom has been gone. My mom always managed to make my birthday special in a way no one else could. I was honestly dreading my birthday. But, it ended up being really perfect in it’s own way. We celebrated on the beach then celebrated with family and friends this weekend. Billy got me the most delicious cake from Amy Cake’s in Norman.
We had dinner with family at my all time favorite restaurant, La Fiesta.
Afterwards we went out for drinks with friends at Vintage 22 in Ada. I want to post my outfit because I had a few people asking about my sweater. I got it on sale for about half off from Dillard’s. It’s linked below!
Hello! We just got back from an amazing trip to Cancun. I have had several questions about outfits and swim suits so I wanted to link them up for you guys to shop directly. I’m also working on another posts about our trip overall, specifically the resort. So, be on the lookout for that if you’re interested in the details! Definitely the most asked about item was this suit! It’s from ASOS and it’s only $32! It’s so flattering. I always have ladies asking where I get these types of swimsuits. I always always buy them from ASOS. They’re affordable and have the biggest selection of this style.
Swimsuit: ASOS (the pink is currently sold out but its comes in lots of other colors if you scroll to the bottom or just type in “gathered waistband swimsuit”. I really want the green! Hat: I got mine at Stella Rae’s in Norman but I found the exact same hat online here
Next was this dress! It’s also from ASOS. It’s my favorite thing I wore on vacation. It felt so tropical. It’s only $36!
This next dress is also from, you guessed it, ASOS. Is anyone noticing a pattern here?
Next is the marigold top. This night was super windy so the pictures really don’t do it justice!
This weekend we stayed at home for some much needed r&r. Last weekend we visited friends and family. We celebrated my best friend’s mom’s birthday and watched another best friend run the OKC Memorial Marathon. It was a full weekend of celebration. So, naturally this weekend we decided to keep it more low key. We went on a day date, did some shopping, ran errands and tried a new restaurant. But most importantly, we slept in and caught up on Netflix! Next weekend we are headed to Dallas. We fly out of DFW Sunday for a Mexico vacation. SO excited about this. We’ve been short staffed at work and I’ve been carrying the discharge planning load of an RN and social worker. Some time off is just what I need. I wanted to share this dress with you all. I wore it out this weekend and it’s such a dream. It’s flowy and comfortable. It’s less than $50. It comes in petite, tall, plus size and regular size. It’s the perfect summer dress.
Hey loves! I hope you all are enjoying March and this beautiful weather! I’m so excited for some patio time. I think hanging out on patios might be my favorite spring time activity! March is turning out to be pretty fun/busy so far. Last weekend we traveled home for the annual Johnston County Livestock show. I got to spend some quality time with my family and my favorite Southern OK boutique. This weekend we have pictures coming up with Ashley Lewis Photography, I’m so excited to get some new pictures with Billy, he’s not always the most willing to participate in photos. I went to college with Ashley and now we work at the same hospital. I love her work and I’m eager to work with her, she is one of the nicest, most genuine people I’ve met. I’m currently trying to decide what to wear for pictures so I took to Polyvore to gain some inspiration. I’ve been loving off the shoulder tops for a while now. This blue one is so pretty, I’m dying for these ruffles. You guys already know how I feel about pom poms and tassels so these accessories should be no surprise to you.
